Ex-McCann CEO Chris Macdonald joins The EC Group<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

September 29, London: The EC Group<\/a> today announces Chris Macdonald<\/strong> is joining as Group CEO. His appointment to the newly created role reflects a period of exceptional growth for the group and follows the recent acquisition of Ivory Worldwide, a global brand experience agency.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris has over 30 years\u2019 experience working in the creative industries, with senior leadership roles in both the UK and the US. Most recently, he held the role of Global CEO for advertising network McCann in New York, before returning to the UK to work as an investor, board advisor and non-executive director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Beaver, Founder of The EC Group, said:<\/strong> \u201cChris has been a board advisor for the past 18 months and has made a really positive impact on the business, our strategy and leaders during a period of substantial growth. It became clear that Chris could play a more significant role inside the company and I am delighted that he has agreed to join us as our Group CEO.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris Macdonald added:<\/strong> \u201cIt was going to take something really special for me to take on another CEO role and The EC Group is just that. The Group is also announcing the promotion of Event Concept MD Adam Stanley<\/strong> to the role of Group Managing Director, in recognition of his leadership during the company\u2019s period of exceptional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Beaver comments:<\/strong> \u201cI am delighted to announce Adam\u2019s promotion as he has achieved so much for the company, is hugely respected by our clients and internally by all our teams. This recognition is so well deserved.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EC group also announced the appointment of Nick Charlton<\/strong> as group CFO. Nick joins the group with over 20 years experience across media, broadcast, advertising and technology. Most recently Nick was the Global SVP, Commercial Operations at BBC Studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
