Achieving B Corporation certification means joining a global community of businesses committed to meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EC has been certified following an external assessment of its operations. The accreditation confirms it meets B Lab\u2019s standards on social and environmental performance, governance and transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B Corp certification is not automatic. Companies must score at least 80 points across five areas. These are workers, environment, governance, customers and community. EC exceeded that threshold to achieve the certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 10,000 companies worldwide are now B Corp certified. Over 2,600 of them are based in the UK, which remains the scheme\u2019s largest market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process examines how a business is run day to day, looking at employee policies, supply chains and environmental impact. It also assesses governance structures and how decisions affect wider stakeholders, not only shareholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the certification, EC amended its articles of association to formally embed its commitment to creating value for people and the planet alongside its financial stakeholders. The certification was confirmed in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process is intentionally rigorous and achieving certification underscores both our progress to date and our dedication to continuous improvement. It signals to our clients, partners, and our team that we are serious about embedding sustainability at the heart of everything we do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Stanley, our managing director, said: \u201cThis accreditation is a huge achievement for the agency, not just as creators of exceptional experiences, but as an organisation that takes responsibility for its impact. The B Corp certification aligns us with a powerful network of like-minded companies striving for a better future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B Corp status also brings ongoing obligations. Certified businesses must report against set criteria and recertify every three years. Scores are published publicly, allowing clients and partners to compare performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For event agencies, the accreditation is increasingly used as evidence in procurement processes. Many corporate and association buyers now ask suppliers to demonstrate measurable sustainability credentials, rather than policy statements alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The certification forms part of EC’s longer-term sustainability work. It will focus on reporting progress and improving performance across assessed areas following accreditation.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
