Inside our latest tech investment

Behind every live moment is the technology that makes it possible. This quarter, we’ve expanded our in-house lighting, audio, video and show-control kit, giving our teams more creative freedom and greater flexibility in delivery.

Audio

EC’s expanding networked audio and Dante capability allows for more flexible signal distribution, streamlined cabling and scalable audio systems across a range of venues and event formats. Key additions include:

  • Yamaha DM7 Compact Digital Mixing Console: A versatile Dante-enabled digital mixing console combining 72 mono input channels, 16 motorised faders and dual multi-touch screens in a compact format. Designed for front-of-house and monitor applications, it gives our audio teams powerful mixing, processing and system control across a wide range of event environments.
  • Yamaha Rio1608-D3 I/O Rack: A Dante-compatible I/O rack providing 16 analogue inputs and eight analogue outputs, with local control and dual redundant power supplies. Its compact format offers flexible integration with Yamaha digital mixing systems across live events and larger audio setups.
  • Yamaha Rio3224-D3 I/O Rack: Offering greater capacity with 32 analogue inputs, 16 analogue outputs and eight AES/EBU outputs, the Rio3224-D3 expands our ability to build larger, more complex Dante-enabled audio systems while maintaining reliable control and connectivity.

Lighting Control

EC’s investment in lighting control gives our programmers greater speed, precision and flexibility, supporting larger fixture counts and more sophisticated event lighting designs.

  • grandMA3 light: A powerful addition to our lighting control offering, with 60 playbacks, motorised faders and multi-touch screens providing fast, flexible programming for complex live productions. With 16,384 control parameters as standard, it gives our teams greater capacity for large-scale and technically demanding events.
  • Avolites D3-110: A compact standalone lighting console powered by the Avolites Titan platform, combining intuitive programming with 24 DMX universes and support for unlimited fixtures. Its self-contained design makes it a versatile option for live events and a wide range of production environments.

Lighting Fixtures

EC’s growing LED event lighting inventory combines high-output colour, outdoor capability and more efficient deployment, giving our lighting teams greater scope to create everything from architectural washes to bold audience and stage effects.

  • SGM PALCO-3 Wash: A compact, foldable RGBL LED wash with rich colour mixing, smooth dimming and IP65 protection. Its space-saving design also allows more fixtures to be transported per flight case, helping streamline load-ins and deployment on site.
  • SGM PALCO-6 Wash: A higher-output RGBL wash combining SGM’s ColorBoost technology with flexible beam control and IP65-rated construction, giving our teams a powerful option for both indoor and outdoor lighting applications.
  • ProLights SunRise 2IP: A modular IP65 LED blinder designed as a modern alternative to traditional halogen fixtures. Its modular construction allows multiple units to be combined, creating scalable blinder effects for stages, scenic designs and larger lighting installations.

Video and Digital Displays

EC’s investment in video equipment is focused on higher-brightness projection and large-format 4K display technology, strengthening the visual options available for content-led environments, presentations and immersive event design.

  • Samsung QM85: An 85-inch 4K professional display offering a large-format solution for presentations, branded content and digital signage, with a slim profile that integrates cleanly into event environments.
  • Panasonic PT-RQ45K Projector: A high-brightness 4K laser projector delivering up to 42,000 lumens, designed for large-scale projection and demanding visual applications. Its compact footprint and 12G-SDI connectivity also support more efficient setup and integration on site.

Presentation Control

EC’s presentation control equipment supports reliable cueing across conferences, meetings and speaker-led events, with clear technician feedback and scalable wireless coverage for larger venues.

  • Interspace MicroCue3: A professional wireless cueing system capable of controlling up to three computers from a single unit. Its LCD display provides live feedback on cues, signal strength and battery condition, while i2Net connectivity allows multiple units to be linked to extend coverage across larger or more complex spaces.

Building a More Connected Production Ecosystem

As event technology becomes increasingly integrated, investing across multiple disciplines allows EC to build systems that work more effectively together.

Strengthening our in-house capability across control, audio, lighting and video means better integration between systems, more efficient workflows and greater flexibility when adapting technical solutions to different venues and event formats.
