Yes, the venue does have outdoor space available for events. The John Madejski Garden is the museum’s main outdoor venue, ideal for summer parties, drinks receptions, and other gatherings. This elegant garden features a central fountain, which is beautifully lit at night. This space can host up to 600 guests.
Does V&A South Kensington offer day-time hire?
As the venue is open to the general public during the day, the standard hire time for the venue is from 6:45pm till 11:00pm. Please note that event setup can only begin after the museum closes to the public at 5:45pm.
The museum also offers the opportunity to extend the finish time of your event until 2:00am, which is subject to availability.
Does V&A South Kensington have a wedding licence?
Yes, the venue has licensed spaces for Civil Marriage and Civil Partnership ceremonies.
