Celebrating our Carbon Literate Organization Award

Last month, we proudly received our Carbon Literate Organization Bronze award, marking a significant milestone on our carbon literacy journey.

This recognition is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and our dedication to fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within our company.

As a Carbon Literate Organization, we are putting our team through a comprehensive Carbon Literacy program. This initiative allows us to embed sustainable practices at the core of our operations, driven by our most valuable asset – our people. The first training, delivered by Positive Planet, was conducted for 16 members of our “Green Team,” which represents all departments within Event Concept. The “Green Team” meets regularly to discuss issues, share ideas, and implement new endeavors to bring about meaningful, impactful change, affecting not only business operations but also company culture.

One of the core pillars of our sustainability pledge is Educating Our Community. This principle guides us as we work to spread awareness and knowledge about sustainable practices, both within our organization and beyond. By equipping our team with the knowledge and tools to make environmentally conscious decisions, we are fostering a culture of sustainability that will permeate every aspect of our business.

Looking to the future, we have ambitious plans to expand our training efforts. We aim to deliver Carbon Literacy training internally, ensuring that as many team members as possible have the opportunity to participate. Our goal is to create a ripple effect, where each trained individual becomes an advocate for sustainability, inspiring others to join our efforts.

The Carbon Literate Organization Bronze award is a significant milestone, but it is also a call to action. We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to making even greater strides in our sustainability efforts.
