Traditional White Wedding
Timeless, with a twist
The Challenge
Our bride and groom asked us to take inspiration from their venue, Kew Gardens, when designing their wedding.
The stately setting required a design that was both romantic and elegant, something that also reflected the couple’s personality, as well as their chosen spaces: the beautiful Nash Conservatory and the Grade I-listed Orangery.
Our Solution
Set on a UNESCO World Heritage site and surrounded by botanical gardens, florals played a key part in this wedding.
Lush British foliage was paired with white peonies, soft pink garden roses and jasmine, inspired by English country gardens. A twisted archway of willow and wisteria framed the aisle, where wildflowers formed a meadow around the bride and groom.
The Experience
The white and blush floral tones were paired with gold framework and gilded table décor to offer a modern take on the traditional white wedding. This detailing was prevalent throughout the ceremony and reception, as guests were served drinks from a bar embellished with a gold rim and the couple’s initials, and speeches were made from a personalised lectern.
