We love to create powerful and meaningful experiences for our clients, but we are not blind to the fact that our industry creates challenges when it comes to environmental impact. We are determined to challenge the assumption that you cannot create something impactful without damaging the natural world.

We recognise the precipice at which we find ourselves and the importance of an ongoing commitment to change to secure the future of our planet and the human race.

We recognise that we need to continually evolve the way we do business and the way in which we behave as individuals.

This is not easy, particularly in the events industry, but it starts with an intention to be better.

Reducing
our footprint

We commit to reducing the footprint we leave as an organization on the world around us. By 2030 we are aiming to:

be zero to landfill
have achieved NetZero, and
remove all single use plastic from our manufacturing process and facility

Educating
our community

Our community consists of our employees, clients, suppliers, partners and our local area.

We are committed to educating our community in how they can each take steps towards a sustainable future as a partner to Event Concept and as individuals.

Partnering
with our clients

We are committed to using creative thinking and new technologies to partner with our clients and deliver #ImpactWithoutImpact.

Like us, our clients have ambitious sustainability goals. Together, we explore ways to make event delivery more sustainable. Funded through a small contribution built into every client project, our EC Impact Fund also allows us to invest directly back into sustainable solutions for our clients e.g. innovative materials, new technologies, training and more importantly, give back to causes close to our hearts.

It’s not going to be easy but we can do it together. We don’t have all the answers, we openly acknowledge there may be gaps in our roadmap, and there will be challenges to overcome. With the support of our community and the dedication of our team we will deliver on Our 2030 Pledge.

Commitment to data

Promises are easy and while we know that real change starts with a commitment, we also appreciate that it really doesn’t mean much without the data. We undertake comprehensive internal audits, assessing our ongoing progress whilst working with our sustainability partner on our carbon measurement, reduction, and offsetting.

This is laid down in our annual Impact Report as a transparent window on our data and journey towards embedding sustainable practices into every element of our business.

We have held our ISO 14001 in Environmental Management for 6 years, and we continue to explore how we take our existing process and governance and align it with delivering our goals.
